Another alternative way to paint a picture and use up any old potatoes you might have lying around.
What you’ll need:
- 1-2 potatoes
- Paints
- Paper
- Something to put paint in (i.e. bowls, small pots)
What to do:
- Cut the potatoes lengthwise into holdable sections
- Put paint in small pots
- Dip the potato in the paints then press onto the paper, we started with a yellow centre then added a different colour for the petals
- Add a stalk and leafs if you want using your finger or a paintbrush
Hint and tips :
– Use a different potato section for each colour to avoid colours mixing
– Make sure to put lots of paint on the potato so that it transfers to the paper, you could also use a paintbrush to paint the potato
– You could cut the potato into different shapes e.g. a leaf, star or heart, to make different pictures
