This is an easy and engaging craft that will teach your toddler about different flowers and leafs and make them feel like a King/Queen at the end of it. You might need to plan slightly ahead and collect the flowers and leafs the day before so that they have plenty of time to dry out and press flat.

Youβll need:
- An A4 piece of card
- PVA glue
- Dried and pressed flowers and leafs (might work with fresh ones)
- Scissors and sellotape
What to do:
- Make the crown by measuring 6cm into the card and drawing a line parallel to the long edge of the card. Cut along this line.
- Repeat this step so that you have 2 strips of card. Stick these together along the short edge so that you have one long strip of card.
- Check size of crown around childβs head and mark overlap area.
- Add PVA glue to the crown and stick down your dried leaves and flowers. You can add a small bit of sellotape to the stalk of the leaves and flowers to secure them down.
- Once decorated leave crown till glue is dry.
- Once dry stick ends of crown together with sellotape.
Hint and tips
– You donβt need a flower press to dry the plants, you could use a pile of books.
– Fresh flowers and leafs might work but would be harder to stick down.
– The PVA glue can be messy so put down a table cover first
