This craft is simple but effective and Iβm so pleased with the result that I might even frame them. My daughter loved doing it too, but thatβs probably because she loves painting her hands and feet.
What youβll need:
- Paint (washable if possible) and paint brushes
- White paper
- Lollipop sticks
- Coloured paper – yellow and black/navy
- Glue and scissors
What to do:
- Cover your childβs foot in paint using a paint brush
- Stamp the foot on a piece of white paper
- Paint lollipop sticks the colour of your choice
- While the paint drys, draw round a 2 circular objects (one larger than the other) on yellow paper and on dark paper. Cut exactly to the circles on the yellow paper. Cut about 1cm away from the circle on the dark paper and in a wavy pattern. Stick the yellow circles inside the darker wavy circles to make wheels.
- Break the lollipop sticks in half and stick above the footprint.
- Stick a rectangle with curved edges for the roof
- Add the wheels
Hints and tips:
– Have wipes or a wet cloth to hand to clean up the paint unless you want footprints through your house
– You could also add a driver and steering wheel to the picture
