Egg box octopus 🐙

Another way to use an egg box and learn about an ocean animal.

What you’ll need:

• An egg box
• Green paint or felt pen
• Pipe cleaners (x4)
• Googley eyes
• Scissors and a glue gun (or superglue as an alternative)

What to do:

1. Cut the egg box into individual egg holder parts
2. Colour an individual egg holder green using paint or felt pen
3. Cut the four pipe cleans in half and twirl around a finger to make tentacles
4. Use a glue gun or superglue to stick each tentacle evenly spaced around the inside of the egg holder/octopus body
5. Add googley eyes

Hints and tips:

– Paint gives a more complete coverage on the egg box but felt pen works too

– You can use the remaining egg box to make other sea creatures, e.g. a Whale or Turtle
