This is a fun craft that uses toilet rolls to make cute penguins. A stone could be added to the base of them to turn them into pen holders.

What you’ll need:
- Black, white and orange paper/card
- A toilet roll
- Googley eyes
- Scissors and PVA glue

What to do:
- Measure the height of toilet roll to the black paper and cut a long strip
- Put glue on the toilet roll and roll the black paper round it, put some more glue on the paper at the end and then cut away the extra. You could also add a bit of sellotape at the join to make it more secure.
- Draw a long oval shape on the white paper (see picture), cut this out and use PVA glue to stick in on the black to be the stomach.
- Draw 2 wings on the black paper, leaving a rectangular tab at the sides. Cut out and fold over the tab. Glue the outside part of the tab and stick to the sides of the penguin.
- Draw a beak on the orange paper, leave a rectangle tab at the top to fold over. Cut this out and stick above the stomach.
- Draw 2 feet on the orange paper, with extra length at the top. Cut these out and fold them. Use glue to stick the long tab part inside the toilet roll.
- Add googley eyes.

Hints and tips:
– You don’t have to use toilet rolls, shortened kitchen roll or even a Pringles can would work.
– If cutting out lots of wings and feet fold over the paper to cut down on the cutting.
– Make sure the glue is dry before playing with your penguins.
